Hotel Sacher and Vienna interpreted by perfumer Pauline Rochas and Sacher co-owner Alexandra Winkler with a candle scented as olfactory embodiment of something bold, something sophisticated, something luxurious

Hotel Sacher launched the new candle 'The Magic of Scent' which was created by Pauline Rochas, descendant of the French perfume and fashion house Rochas, together with Alexandra Winkler, member of the Sacher owner family. Pauline Rochas' scent creations are strongly associated with traveling and a cosmopolitan lifestyle of feeling at home all around the world - and collaborations with Austrians such as with Falstaff 'Living' publisher Angelika Rosam for the creation of candles for the magazine's Home Collection capturing aromas of exclusive traveler destinations or the cooperation with Hotel Imperial Vienna for two scents.

The latest scent collaboration of Pauline Rochas in Austria is an homage to the Hotel Sacher and the city Vienna. The color of the candle 'The Magic of Scent' references the signature red of the hotel; its scent is inspired by the atmosphere of Vienna, the opera vis-à-vis the hotel, the city's music culture and architecture. The mood and aesthetics of Hotel Sacher and the city experienced by Pauline Rochas in her teamwork with Alexandra Winkler are the basics of the composition which is described by the perfumer as an embodiment of something bold, something sophisticated, something luxurious. The composition is made of patchouli, cypriol, vanilla, sandalwood, spices like cinnamon, nutmeg and clove.
