Insights into more than 100 years of interior design in Austria: Live-upholstering of the iconic Wittmann Kubus armchair (designed by Josef Hoffmann) in one of the country's largest design houses Grünbeck in Vienna

Currently from 4th until 26th March, one of Austria's largest design houses Grünbeck invites on occasion of the company's 90th anniversary to the 'Interieur Design Highlights 2022' event series at the around 1100m˛ of the flagship store where the company's planning office and showrooms are located at Margaretenstrasse 93 in the 5th district of Vienna. Grünbeck (founded 1932) is partnering with brands like Rolf Benz, Wittmann, Walter Knoll, or Vitra. Event details of the upcoming events are published at gruenbeck.co.at.

On 17 March from 16.00 to 20.00 at the 'Schwarzwald Evening', furniture by the in Nagold, Black Forest (Schwarzwald) region headquartered German company Rolf Benzwill be showcased. Visitors can enjoy on that day specialities, gin and beer, from the German Schwarzwald region.

Culinary and interior design is also the topic at the event on the following day on 18th March when iconic Austrian interior design company Wittmann invites to the live-upholstering 'Kubus Schaupolstern' and the presentation of furniture classics and new designs like the Andes series. The company was founded in the 19th century and is located since the beginning in Etsdorf in Lower Austria - a wine region. The Grünbeck event's 'Grüner Veltliner' originates from the own Wittmann vineyards. From 14:30 until 17:30, the Kubus leather armchair (designed by Josef Hoffmann, 1910) will be sewn and upholstered live by a Wittmann upholsterer.
