MAK event-series '(Con)temporary Fashion Showcase' at Geymüllerschlössel in Vienna starts with 3D printing specialist Julia Koerner known for her work for Haute Couture presented in Paris and Hollywood productions such as Marvel's Black Panther

At mak.at/contemporaryfashion, the first dates of the upcoming event-series '(Con)temporary Fashion Showcase' at the MAK Museum of Applied Arts branch Geymüllerschlössel are already published. It's announced that the programme will be continuously updated. Already fixed are the start and end date of the series with 7th May and 4th December and the three main exhibitions starting with the Austrian in Salzburg, Vienna, Los Angeles working and living 3D-printing specialist Julia Koerner who studied architecture at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Julia Koerner became internationally known for her work for fashion labels like for the Haute Couture by Iris Van Herpen or for Hollywood productions like Marvel's Pink Panther. The Geymüllerschlössel is open for visitors on the first weekend of the series on 7th and 8th May from 11:00. Among music, drinks or flowers-to-go, a pop-up market with swim- and sportswear by Austrian labels like Margaret and Hermione are on the programme. The exhibition '(Con)temporary Fashion Showcase: Julia Koerner' of the designer's bags from the 3D-printer and clothing pieces will open on 7th May at 18:00 with a talk by Julia Koerner and curator Lara Steinhäußer about design and production processes. On 8th May, a book presentation about fashion and age at 15:00 and the talk 'Does The Museum Need Fashion Or Does Fashion Need The Museum' (in English) at 16:30 are scheduled.
