Tip for a tour through Vienna: Exhibitions of the 'Foto Wien' festival showcase photographic works from the fields art, reportage, fashion,... at more than 140 locations

Recently on 9 March, the Foto Wien festival - which was postponed from 2021 - started at more than 140 locations in Vienna. The map on fotowien.at/en/map_en_/ gives an oversight for the ones who plan a tour from one destination to the other. Number 1 on the map is the festival center located at Atelier Augarten where exhibitions like 'Focus Women Photographers' showing works by ten international women photographers such as Pixy Liao, whose 'Red Nails' photo is also used as this year's festival sujet, happen. Each of the 'Focus Women Photographers' tell their own story about today's society from an individual perspective. Nakeya Brown about being a Black woman in America or Pixy Liao about her growing up with the traditional values in Shanghai and her relationship with her husband.

At the festival headquarters at Atelier Augarten and online available is a selection of works by photographers for the collection of money for the Volkshilfe emergency aid in Ukraine. Find details and the gallery at the online shop at fotowien.at/en/festival/foto-wien_for_ukraine_en/.
