Designaustria presented the international jury of the Austrian State Prize Design 2024 for categories such as Industrial Design for Consumer Goods or Product Design Interior

The jury of the Austrian State Prize for Design, the Staatspreis Design, is known for selecting products with particular focus on solving problems and creating economic and social value through design. The gallery at https://staatspreis-design.at/archiv/ goes back from 2022 to 1962 and shows products, some of which are still iconic today, with images and brief descriptions. Now the names of the members of the international jury for the upcoming 50th Staatspreis Design 2024 by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy were released by designaustria, the organizer of the competition. Submissions are accepted online until January 15, 2024, for products and projects developed after January 1, 2021. The evaluation will be conducted by an exclusively international jury of experts from Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Slovenia.

On the website of the Staatspreis Design at https://staatspreis-design.at/stp2024/, the full list of jury members and more information about the categories can be found, such as details about the areas of the 'Interior Product Design' category, which includes Interior, Furniture & Fabrics, Light & Lighting, and Lifestyle & Accessories. The jurors' names are published with links to their websites, such as Robin Edman from Sweden or Annette Lang from Germany. Robin Edman studied industrial design at the Rhode Island School of Design, worked for Electrolux Global Design in Eindhoven, served on the board of the World Design Organization and the Bureau of European Design Associations, and was for over ten years part of the jury of the Red Dot Awards in Germany. German product designer Annette Lang studied design at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart and worked for design studios like Matteo Thun and Studio Sottsass in Milan. Annette Lang's projects range from household appliances and furniture to medical items. She has received numerous design awards and has exhibited her work internationally.
