Tractor and bicycle tour programme Spring/Summer 2022 for the exploration of the grapes and apricots region of Poysdorf in Lower Austria

The region of Poysdorf in Lower Austria is known for its agricultural activities which are promoted since 2007 by Vino Versum Tourismus with focus on the cultivation of grapes, wine and apricots. Poysdorf is the country's largest apricot growing area which can be explored this year via special tractor rides. The dates for the guided tours on tractors are already scheduled from May to October 2022, details at vinoversum.at/en/poysdorf/alles-marille/. Recently published on vinoversum.at/en/poysdorf/radfruehling/ were the new upcoming dates of cycling tours from April to June through the vineyards with stops at selected cellars as well as tours over the border to the Czech Republic such as the event on 1st May on the tracks of the princely house of Liechtenstein. Last mentioned route goes over around 55 km and is probably a challenge on a bike without an electric motor. The tours can be booked with rental e-bike.

Fashion.at tip for planning the journey to Poysdorf from Vienna and back again: The transport association of the country's east region, the Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region (known as 'VOR'), publishes at anachb.vor.at an interactive map (in German and English) for the calculation of the options of public transport services from one destination to the other. The options for one route can differ from day and hour. Fast checked today for the route from the center of Vienna to the meeting point of the Poysdorf bike ride on 1st May, arrival in Poysdorf at noon, departure in the evening.
