Insights into the Thai Fashion Brunch on the occasion of the Thai Fashion Night at the MQ Vienna Fashion Week
Yesterday, Fashion.at attended the Thai Fashion Brunch at the Hilton Vienna Park to get a sneak preview of the collections that will be shown on the 'Take Off' runway at the Thai Fashion Night on 14 September at the MQ Vienna Fashion Week tent.
The Hilton Vienna Park at the city park 'Stadtpark' is the official partner of the MQ Vienna Fashion Week. The brunch buffet, for example, was provided by the hotel, which also accommodated the fashion week models.
Fashion.at was there early and had the chance to talk to Onanood Phadoongvithee, Minister Counselor (Commercial) and Director of the Office of Commercial Affairs (DITP) Vienna, about this year's presentation. She wore a jacket by 'Kram Phon' (on view on the picture above), which at first glance looks like a lilac fur jacket, but is actually made of fabric with attached textile stripes that are frayed at the edges to give it a 3-dimensional look. The brand Kram Phon of Rattapol Thongdee and Wucharaphon Kampromma is already sold on the international market, as Minister Counselor Onanood Phadoongvithee told Fashion.at.
The brand 'Simonsister' by Melada Charonying (pictured above) and Chatuphon Phongphunchuntra features portraits of pop stars on loose tops and dresses in the latest collection. The last collection was inspired by painters like Egon Schiele (article). The designer told Fashion.at that she will use her time in Vienna to see the original paintings of Egon Schiele.
'Wonder Anatomie' designer Chalermkiat 'Pop' Khatikasemlert presented at the fashion brunch innovatively cut garments made of fabrics with symbols like Thailand's national animal and symbol, the elephant, which stands for strength, loyalty and longevity, or the logo of the MQ Vienna Fashion Week with map of the subway network of Vienna. The designer told Fashion.at that the fabric was designed two months ago. Practical! Makes it easier to find the tent of the MQFWV, where the 'Take Off' show will take place tonight at 21:00. The tent is located near a subway station.
