FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

User opinion about men, personal style, internet…
On occasion of the biannual Styletrends survey, Fashionoffice asks since 2003 magazine readers to make their opinion on special themes about fashion, beauty and today’s lifestyle and match their own decisions with other fashion experts. The trend analysis over 6 years about the trendiest men’s style, the favorite personal style, the highest ranking fashion cities … is published on fashionoffice.org/survey
(27 December 2003 - 15 April 2009, sample: more than 23.500 interviewed individuals).

The first interpreted data of the questionnaires from the Styletrends survey 1 August 08 - 15 April 09 show that

  • men’s style reflects the current trend for a simpler lifestyle and the growing consciousness for cultural heritage: Modern Vintage is with 26,61% the favorite men's style, followed by Simple (11,59%) and Classical (11,16%)
  • women's wear becomes this summer season 09 obviously more different to men’s wear
  • the internet’s very own nature minimizes continuously the spreading losses or time for searching by ‘learning’ the users’ behaviour
  • Fashionistas online get the trendiest information about fashion, design, beauty from Online-Publications like magazines, daily news, ...
  • the inspiration for the personal style comes from the street, art, design, and the user himself
  • the most artful collections, the best ready to wear, and the most interesting business partners can be found in Paris, New York, Tokyo and London.

About Fashionoffice
Fashionoffice was founded in 1995 by Mag. phil. Dr. rer.nat. Josef Sawetz (born 3 Oct. 1962 in Vienna, Austria) and his sister Mag. Dr. phil. Karin Sawetz (born 24 Feb. 1965, Vienna, Austria) with the “FashionAvigator”-study about fashion online. Fashionoffice started in 1996 with www.fashion.at one of the first fashion magazines exclusively published online. Soon the magazine has established special channels about fashion, art, beauty and received several prizes such as the ‘Angel of Fashion Award’ in 1996. Since the beginning Fashionoffice spreads the messages of organisations like unicef, United Nations, Amnesty International… through its channels. During the years the magazine was extended by new technical features such as broadband videos in an early pioneer project in 1997. Since 2000 the magazine’s name Fashionoffice, developed from the email address ‘office(@)fashion.at’, is the umbrella brand for the URLs beautyme.com, confashion.com, Fashionavigator.com, fashion.at, fashionoffice.org. In 2004 the URLs styleradar.com, beautyradar.com have been launched as part of Fashionoffice to interview users about their opinion on fashion, beauty, and lifestyle.
