'Co-Exist' range from the H&M collection series dedicated to innovations in fashion is fully certified by the animal rights organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)

The images on view on this page are from the 'Co-Exist Story' campaign for the third edition of the 'Innovation Stories' initiative of H&M; available from 4 November in selected stores and online at hm.com. The first edition with the name 'Science Story' concerned developments of new fabrics; it was presented earlier this year in February (article). One month later in March, the second edition 'Colour Story' followed (article). This month, H&M released previews of the upcoming edition with the title 'Co-Exist Story'. The items were designed as alternatives to fur or leather and went through vegan production processes without the use of material from animals. At peta.org/media/news-releases/peta-partners-with-hm-for-companys-first-100-vegan-collection/, the innovative materials used for the fully PETA-certified vegan collection - FLWRDWN, VEGEA and ECONYL® - are described closer.

Images, from left: The picture on the left shows the action-shirt 'Speak Up for Animals!' (organic cotton, linen), boots (made of YULEX® natural rubber and recycled polyester), and padded trouser-skirt (the 100% recycled nylon fabric is filled with FLWRDWN, alternative downs made from natural wildflowers). Right: Fur coat in combination with pullover dress (both made of 100% recycled polyester). The 100% vegan items from the 'Co-Exist Story' campaign for the third edition of the 'Innovation Stories' by H&M were photographed by Johnny Dufort and Alexandra Carl at the vegan run Hillside Animal Sanctuary in Norfolk, UK.
