Makeup supports Aids prevention
On 21 July 2010, makeup label MAC Cosmetics has sent Fashionoffice some images from the Aids-charity Lifeball on 17 July in Vienna; like the one you can see on this page. It shows one of 40 makeup artists who have created the looks of the opening ceremony.

MAC president John Demsey donated in the name of the MAC Aids Fund 100,000 Euro to the Clinton Foundation for Aids-research and prevention. MAC works intensively with designers, musicians, and artists (Fashionoffice article from Aug 2009) to develop the mostly limited editions for seasonal makeup colors.
Even on 17 July, the amfAR (American Foundation for Aids Research) gala happened with illustrious international guests like Oscar winner Whoopi Goldberg and former US President Bill Clinton on invitation of the Austrian parliament in the presence of the Austrian Federal President Heinz Fischer in Vienna.
On this evening, John Demsey, president of MAC and chairman of the label's Aids Fund, donated in the name of MAC Cosmetics 100,000 Euro to the Clinton Foundation for Aids-research and prevention.
MAC Cosmetics, founded 1984 in Toronto (Canada) by makeup artist/photographer Frank Toskan and beauty salon owner Frank Angelo especially for makeup artists, has a long tradition in social activities. Frank Angelo's MAC Aids Fund started in 1994 to finance activities around Aids research and prevention by collecting money with special products like the 'Viva Glam'-lipstick. 100% of the purchase of these products is dedicated for the MAC Aids Fund.
Video: MAC Cosmetics makeup artist Caitlin Callahan uses the 2010 summer products like the eye shadow 'Style Influencer' from the 'In the Groove' collection; the Style Influencer is part of the Fashionoffice article 'Haute Couture' from July 2010.
